Below is a list of all theatre classes offered this fall semester at the JDCAC. Also, check out the Auburn Parks and Recreation Fall Brochure. Find a complete listing of all theatre productions on our Auburn Area Community Theatre page.

If you are interested in one or more of the productions, please purchase tickets at auburnact.org.

If you are interested in signing up for one or more of the classes, please do so through MyRec. Citizens must have an online MyRec account to register for any Parks and Recreation programs. To access the online system and create an account visit auburnalabama.org/parks/register.

Programs with an associated cost will require payment which can be made online using a credit card. Individuals who wish to pay with cash or check can register and pay in person at the Harris Center, located at 425 Perry St., Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Registration will only be accepted from participants who live or work in the City of Auburn during the first two weeks of registration.

Acting Out!

Ever wanted to try your hand at Acting? This class is for first time actors to learn about the art of acting or actors that want to polish their skills! We will be using scenes, improvisation and learning how to create believable characters in a fun and relaxed setting. There could be adult themes and adult language used. $10/class and $90/semester.

Auburn Area Community Theatre (AACT) Academy – VIBE! – Voice, Imagination, Body, Energy – Using Your Personal Theatre Tools

If this is your first time participating in a theater activity, or if you have been on stage many times this class is for you! Being able to communicate clearly with your voice, tap into your imagination, control your body and focus your energy are essential theater and life skills. We will be using a variety of fun games and activities to explore and strengthen our abilities. Nov. 11 at 5 p.m. is the combined class Parent Presentation. All classes will meet at 4 p.m. that day to practice and prepare. No class 9/23. $80/child. Sibling discounts and need-based scholarships available.
