LIBRARY DIRECTOR

The Auburn Public Library now offers a free Houseplant Propagation Station, located to the right of the front desk next to the Seed Library.

Here’s how it works:

  • Take, swap, or donate (preferably rooted) plant cuttings.
  • If taking, wrap roots in a wet paper towel and place plant cutting in provided plastic bag to safely transport your new plant home.
  • Record which plant(s) you took or donated on the sign-in sheet. Please write the name of the plant (if you know it) and the number of the jar it was placed in.
  • If you don’t see what you want? Check back next time you visit the library!

Whether you’re a seasoned grower or just starting out, the propagation station is a simple way to grow your plant collection, share your extras, and connect with fellow plant lovers in the community.

Free and open to all, no library card required!
